Friendly Philosophies aspires to create conversations that build a platform for people to listen to each other, promote understanding and education, and ultimately bring people closer together. The authors believe that truly getting to know another human requires time, effort, and vulnerability. Therefore, the book contains everything from highly abstract philosophical thought to admissions of personal struggle and growth.
Each chapter contains brief, open-ended thoughts on 64 wide-ranging topics from gun control to sex robots to body hair. The reader is provided with inspiration by way of each author’s thoughts and questions on the varying topics. These ideas are meant to be stepping stones on a path to new thought. There are no conclusions or answers given so it is up to the reader how to proceed.
